Cuvée Winston Churchill

Probably the most famous admirer of Champagne Pol Roger was Sir Winston Churchill.

The champagne house was founded in 1849. Sir Winston Churchill met  the champagne Pol Roger in Paris in 1908 and it became his favorite  drink. His passion for Pol Roger was so exclusive that he only ordered  Pol Roger and publicized the Pol Roger name several times. As a tribute  to this long and loyal friendship between the two families, Pol Roger  created the Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill.

The champagne house has remained family-owned to this day and, with a  production volume of around 2 million bottles per year, is one of the  smaller champagne houses. ​

I have a few magnums from the Cuvée Winston Churchill and Millésime in my wine cellar, waiting for the big day.
